The Mysterious Abductions by Tracey Hecht

The Mysterious Abductions by Tracey Hecht
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I have to say that I did thoroughly enjoy this book.

It is middle grade so it wasn't a difficult read for me but given the sorts of books that I do like to read, that aren't pages and pages of pure detail, I enjoyed it. It was a nice quick easy read and I found it delightful.

To put it simply, this book is about Dawn, Bismark, and Tobin. The three are nocturnal animals that became a brigade one night after the three of them defeated a snake together. This book is about a series of kidnappings that the trio are investigating and they meet friends along the way.

There are some dark themes in the book but not too dark, I'm certain that kids in middle school are aware of some of the things that this book alludes to but it kind of does come out of no where and it caught me by surprise. However, it's manage-able. The book did make me tear up a bit at the end, I do have to say that. The catalyst that caused this whole story to happen, it was just so heartbreaking to me.

However, I do recommend this book. I feel that it is very child friendly and it was just a nice read in general.

Also, I won this in a goodreads giveaway and am very grateful for the opportunity to read this book.
Just another series to add to the list.

Grand Verdict: Awesome
