Only Daughter by Anna Snoekstra
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I won this book in a goodreads giveaway.
Currently, I'm in the middle of the book and I will be finishing it shortly and I'm not going to edit out this part but I see a lot of praise for this book and I personally don't like it all that much (it's kind of boring) and this is here for notice of future me, to let myself know that I knew the ending of this book before I even read the fucking book.
WELL, I DIDN'T KNOW THE ENDING. Damn, that was a decent ending, no hints, I didn't even see it coming. And I read a lot of Psych thrillers. I think it's more of a mystery and thriller rather than a psych thriller. But that's just me.
The book was decent, it did bore me until the end. I read the first part, skimmed the middle, and read the end. So it wasn't really engaging throughout. It felt like the middle was all filler and boring.
I'm not really sure why the girl pretending to be Rebecca wasn't named but I'll leave that alone. I'll also leave out the part where she didn't really have a personality where Rebecca obviously did.
It was okay. I think you liking it depends on your tastes in general.
Grand Verdict: Surprise ending saves the book
Rating: 3 out of 5
Favorite Character: Rebecca
