The Infinity of You & Me by J.Q. Coyle
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I want to start and say that I did like this book. I liked this book a lot and I won it in a goodreads giveaway.
So, let's talk about the romance. Why was there romance? The romance was so forced and unneeded in this book, I literally didn't understand the purpose of it. It wasn't even subplot, it just showed up, it's like if someone were to throw a psychology text book at your face. Sudden and painful. I don't know really how they fell in love, it just happened, like of all people Alicia could have had feelings for it's the person she knew for less than a day, what?
I sincerely hope that this is a series because this is a good book for a start to a series. There was no true ending in this book, don't look for one, only one loose end was tied, everything else was left to hang. What happens? Hell if I know but Alicia sure is happy in the end isn't she?
J. Q. Coyle, ladies, please let this be a series, this is not a standalone novel. Even if you guys meant for it to be a standalone novel, reconsider it, because you didn't end it the way that standalone novels need to end. Make it a series, flesh out Jax and Brian and Alicia more. Even the anatagonistic threat wasn't completely dealt with. This book is open to a sequel, so please make more books.
But I do recommend the book, it's pretty cool. It has nothing special to it writing wise but it's a pretty good story, if you ignore the awkward romance.
Grand Verdict: Okay but needs more books
Rating: 3 out of 5
Favorite Character: Brian
